KWEH!
Sekai no Owari, a band that is currently enjoying a great rise in popularity, is composing the theme songs for the live-action Attack on Titan movies. Sources say that the original songs will be composed in English with the help of a few more high-profiled personnel.
The band admitted that they are fans of the original Attack on Titan manga and anime series. So far, there are two songs composed, “ANTI-HERO” for the first film and “SOS” for the second one. Dan the Automator, who is known for his work with Gorillaz and KASABIAN, will be recording “ANTI-HERO”. Ken Thomas, the producer for another well known band Sigur Rós, will be producing “SOS”.
Lastly, some responses reported in RocketNews24 indicated the new songs will be very different from the band’s usual style.
What do you think? With new characters, great casts, and solid story base, would the movies be as successful as the original Attack on Titan material?
