KWEH!
Here is your weekend dose of news that you might have missed!
Above is the 8 Bit Cinema‘s version of the two-hour long Princess Mononoke. They managed to distill the movie into something less than five minutes. Yowza!
There is an interesting bit of news for the in-production and highly-anticipated Kingdom Hearts 3 game. Disney/Marvel‘s franchise, Big Hero 6 will be making an appearance in the game. I am still hoping for some Marvel mutant cameo. Perhaps Wolverine, eh, bub?
Any Majora’s Mask fans? How about Nendoroid fans? You will be delighted to know there is a Nendoroid figurine of Link from the Majora’s Mask game. Have a look because I think it is pretty cute.
In the anticipation of the new Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, PlayStation Japan created an official timeline of what has been going on in the canon MGS stories so far.
There is a bit of cosplay news about Chun Li, the powerhouse kicker from Street Fighter. And, well, you just have to see it for yourself.
What is Masashi Kishimoto, the author of the recently completed Naruto, going to do in the future? He said he is still going to draw manga but in a different genre than Naruto.
For those of you who have been waiting for Yokai Watch, recent news says it is coming state-side soon! It will be available in November this year! You may know that the franchise has taken over Japan in the last few years. It has become something reminiscent of the old Pokémon boom years ago.
Final Fantasy VII is now available on iOS! It is crazy how a game that took up three CDs can now be squeezed into a mobile phone. Not only that, it comes with God Mode for those of you who just want to experience the story.
Kotaku‘s Richard Eisenbeis wrote a preview of the new Fire Emblem game. Since he is located in Japan, he was able to get his hands on the game and play it. Overall, he seems to like the game.
Also from Eisenbeis, he wrote an article about Ten Rockin’ Anime Theme Songs From Summer 2015. Maybe some of you anime fans know a few of them already. If not, it is definitely worth checking out.
Kyary Pamyu Pamyu has recently said that she is aiming for the world. Japan Today reported the young singer of PON PON PON is planning to infect Europe and North America with her brand of kawaii-ness.
One great thing to be able to experience when you travel to Japan is to wear its traditional clothing. In this case, yukata for the ladies. Recently, there were foreigners visiting Japan who got to try wearing yukata at the Yukata de Guide Tour.
Tofugu has an article about a ramen museum in Yokohama. The name is Shin-Yokohama Raumen Museum and yes, it is spelled ra-u-men instead of the usual spelling. Supposedly there is a historical meaning behind the naming. The museum is more like a food court with a variety of ramen stalls. Sounds like a great place for me!
That is all I have for this weekend’s post. Let me know what else you want to see me cover. Or perhaps some suggestions on what you think I should find out more? Leave some comments below!
