Yatta-Tachi’s Ultimate Convention Guide: Introduction

Convention season is coming. Are you ready?

Whenever you’re at a convention, do you ever make mental notes on things you need to be sure to do to improve your experience for the next time? Me, too! Or are you planning on going to your first convention and worried about what you need to do to prepare? Well, look no further, my good friend! I have compiled a comprehensive guide on what you should do or be on the look out for when you go to a convention.

Whether you’re a veteran or a newbie, this guide will be helpful in getting you ready for convention season!  Each week for the next 6 weeks, I will be covering a topic that I have listed below and what advice Yatta-Tachi fans and I have to share. I have also included advice and recommendations from avid con goers from the geek industry. Below you will see a table of contents for the articles I will be rolling out over the next couple of weeks. This will lead up to the first convention I will be going to this year, A-Kon.

The series will be broken down as follows:

  1. Introduction to the Series [You are here!]
  2. Prepping for Your Trip (Research, Scheduling, Meet-ups, Packing List)
  3. Cosplaying (Tips, tricks and do’s & don’ts)
  4. Before & Arriving At the Con
  5. Things to Look out for (Safety)
  6. What to Expect / Keep in Mind / Conclusion

Expect each article to come out every Wednesday for the next few weeks! Are you ready? First, before we begin, go to AnimeCons.com and let me know what local convention you’re interested in going to this year in the comments!
