    Japanese string candy (itohiki) was a favorite of the Yokota Middle School (Fussa City, near Tokyo) students in the mid-1970’s. YUM! Though it did annoy the teachers to look out in the classroom and see those strings hanging out of our mouths!

    In my mind stays “Watapachi”, “Sakuranbo no Uta” and,,, yes,,, the “Choco Baby” 😀
