I cannot remember if I got any of the original 3 games or skipped to Yellow. I remember having Yellow because I liked having a Pikachu following me. Pretty sure I got most of the pokemon in that game (except some of the rare ones) and beat the Elite Four again and again to grind.

Apart from Yellow, I remember playing Silver and Gold, Sapphire, Emerald, one of the Pearl/Diamond, and a little bit of Black.

I think I would more often pick Fire type as the starter. Leaf second.

I actually started with Gold, and bough Blue way after it’s release that, in 2000. I skipped Hoenn as well and ended playing it years later, too.

I still want to play Yellow, and do a run based on the anime.

As for the National Pokédex, I finally got mine 2 years ago, on XY.

Can’t relate to you that much: My starters have always been Water, and the occasional Plant-type.

        Ahh… nostalgia.

I remember liking Lugia’s design a lot. I kinda still do. Entei was also one of my fave pokemon designs because it looks so royal and dignified.

So am I! I’m having a Pokémon themed weekend, to celebrate the anniversary of one of my favorite franchises ever.

      Who was your first Pokémon?
