Great, great article. There are many reasons to love Digimon, and to me, personally, numbers 3 and 7 were definitive.
Digimon had much better character development than most anime aimed at children that age. I was more less 10 years old at the time, and when Tai learned the difference between being brave and being reckless it made me stop and think for a moment.
Also, talking about deaths and consequences without bringing up Leomon is a sin! The static and white noise on the D-Arc was very, very sad, and most kids were hoping that he would come back in the end.
Anyway, we’re not here to cry. Not again. Thanks for the good read! Looking forward your next article.
Hiya Greg,
Glad you liked it!
I agree that not bringing Leomon is unacceptable but I was considering not naming characters for spoiler purposes. Now that the uh… big cat is out of the bag, I have to say that I really like Leomon. He is the earliest Digimon that made me think: whoah, this guy is noble and regal. Also the earliest example of Digimon whom I respect because of his actions.
Cheers!
