Spring is finally here! And with spring comes one of Japan’s most famous images: that of the blooming cherry blossoms. Some sakura trees have been blooming for a while, and others are just starting to greet the spring sunshine. You know what else is blooming? New manga! (That doesn’t really work…) If you live near a botanical garden, see if there’s a cherry blossom festival! Bring along your new manga and comfortably read under the beautiful pink petals. Even if there aren’t any sakura trees where you live, you can always pick up a new manga volume and feel connected to Japan through that. Any excuse to buy more manga or light novels, right?
